How much money can a Esthetician/Skin care specialist make?

Fairyfriend asked:

I am a massage therapist. It is too hard on me to work full time.
I am checking out schools for esthetician . The schools are telling me that I can make 40 to 70 thousand a year with this degree alone but I know that they sometimes exadurate, does anyone know what kind of work I could get and what the potential income is?

  1. Jack Wilson Says:

I know a woman who has both skills, massage therapy and esthetician. Your income would be dependent on a great many variables. work for someone else, work as an independent and how popular the place where you work would be and how personable you are and how good a marketer you are if you are working for yourself.
As you probably know the average working life expectancy of a massage therapist is less than ten years.
Adding skin care to your skill set doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
